For this painting series, my models told me stories and influences that shaped how they viewed love, relationships, and sexuality when they were children. These stories became the inspiration for each painting.
Through the drapery and dramatic lighting, each painting – thus, each woman – had her own little theatre to support her own vignette. The musical score within the space – whimsical and revealing – is a combination of my models’ voices telling their stories and music from Disney and Into The Woods.
